Coach Greg Carlson was the face of Little Giant Football as the head coach for 18 seasons from 1983 to 2001 and was the second winningest coach in Wabash football history. He passed away last November. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Our chapter at Wabash College was chartered in 1898, the 42nd chapter of the society and the 2nd in the state of Indiana. Since 2015, the Wabash Liberal Arts Immersion Program (WLAIP) has transformed the lives of exceptional young men who have gone on to become campus leaders, academic standouts, and exemplary Wabash gentlemen. On A Scarlet Banner Day, an anonymous donor is raising the banner for WLAIP with a $20,000 commitment to support the program’s ongoing needs, with a portion of that gift designated as matching funds for Day of Giving.

All gifts to WLAIP Affinity Challenge will be matched, with a special double match for former WLAIP participants from the Classes of 2020–2024.

Support of WLAIP continues to provide:

  • Early academic credits that jumpstart the Wabash College experience
  • Critical mentorship from faculty, staff, and alumni
